Naina Devi Temple holds historical significance as it is believed to be the spot where the eyes of Goddess Sati, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, fell while Lord Shiva carried her charred body, symbolizing the sanctity and divinity of the temple. The car can reach Naina Devi parking from there only a 1 KM Walk-in distance but it all depends on the queue which can take an hour. Please plan accordingly and avoid weekends or special occasions.

Thereafter, reach Chintpurni by road via UNA, It is approx. 110 KM. The drive can take about 2-3 hours though road conditions are very good. You should arrive in the Afternoon around 3-4 PM. Take an entry slip of the Temple on the way.

The Darshan queue in Chintpurni also sometimes gets huge so it may also take 1 hour for the darshan but sometimes it takes very little time.

Pro Tip:- There is a lift in the parking area which can be used by elders or the needy it reduces the walk-in distance to reach the Mandir. Though for the general queue, you have to walk a little, the exit gate is very near to the parking.

After seeking the blessing from Chintpurni move forward to Jawalaji. It is approx. 35 KM from Chintpurni and usually takes less than an hour to reach.

Check-in to the Hotel here. There are many hotels in the area you can book any hotel according to your budget. Have a rest for a while. We would suggest taking a darshan in the evening or Night itself either before Aarti which starts at 9.30 PM or after the Aarti at 10.00 PM.

You will be walking through the local Market from where you can have dinner, purchase a souvenir, or do other shopping.

Day 2: Kangra Devi to Chamunda Devi to McLeodGanj

Post breakfast, check out the hotel and leave for Kangra Devi which is about 35 KM. Here, on the way you will witness the panoramic view of the Dhauladhar Mountain Range

From the parking, you will have a little steep walk to the Temple through the Market. If you reach here early the chance of a huge crowd will be less and you will have a good Darshan.

After the Darshan, leave for the Chamunda Devi Temple which is about 22 KM and you should reach in around 30 mins. Keep enjoying the panoramic view of the Dhauladhar Mountain Range.
